RSS takes strong objection to Rajasthan Govt’s order asking for “NO link with RSS” affidavit

RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Parmukh Dr. Manmohan Vaidya said that Congress Govt in Rajasthan is indulging in vindictive and vendetta politics and spoiling the field of sports too. Reacting sharply to the bizarre decision taken by Rajasthan Govt asking sportsperson to file an affidavit stating that they had no connection with RSS, he said “We strongly condemn this vindictive attitude of the Rajasthan Government and the Congress. Unless the said Organisations are banned, Rajasthan government’s decision to take up such affidavit from sportspersons is totally unconstitutional, vindictive and politically motivated. Congress should not bring its politics and personal vendetta in the field of sports”

The controversy broke out during the awards ceremony of state level sports competitions. At the moment of their glory, players and coaches were shocked when they were made to sign an undertaking that says that they have nothing to do with RSS or Jamaat – e –Islami in order to be eligible for cash reward. 

“They made me sign an affidavit that said that I didn"t have any connections with the RSS or Jamaat-e-Islami. They said that if I didn"t, I wouldn"t get the money," said gold medal winning weightlifter Vishal Singh.
